Dua after azan (Azan ke Baad Ki Dua) is a dua we recite after Azan is finished. When Azan is said, one should be silent and listen every word of Azan with respect.

One who listens to Azan should respond to every word of Azan and after Azan recite Dua Azan.

اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ هٰذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّآمَّةِ وَالصَّلاَةِ القَآئِمَةِ آتِ مُحَمَّدَ نِ الْوَسِيْلَةَ وَالْفَضِيْلَةَ وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَّحْمُوْدَ نِ الَّذِي وَعَدْتَّهُ اِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ

Dua After Azan (Dua After Adhan) – English

O Allah! Whoever is the master of this complete call and standing prayer, grant Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) a place of means and excellence, and place him in the position of Mahmud which You have promised him.

اے اللہ ! جو اس مکمل دعوت اور کھڑی ہونے والی نماز کا مالک ہے، حضرت محمد(ﷺ) کو مقام وسیلہ عطا فرما اور فضیلت عطا فرما، اور اس مقام محمود پر فائز فرما جس کا آپ نے ان سے وعدہ فرمایا ہے، بے شک آپ وعدہ خلافی نہیں فرماتے (بخاری1/126، اِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ کا اضافہ بیہقی نے کیا ہے )

Ya Allah! jo is mukammal dawat aur khari hone wali namaz ka malik he, Hazra Mohammad(sallallah alaehi wasallam) ko maqam e wasila ata farma aur fazeelat ata farma aur us maqam e mehmood per fayez farma jis ka ap ne us se wada farmaya he.

Beshak aap wada khilafi nahi farmate.

How to Respond to Azan (Adhan)

When you hear Azan, listen to it with silence and great respect. For every word of Azan repeat after Moozzan exactly same words.

When you hear Hayya Alal Falah and Hayya Alassalah, you should repond with La howla wala quwwata illa billah aliyyul azeem.

In Dua after Azan, we actually ask Allah and pray for our beloved prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him). Below is the exact meaning of Dua.

“O Allah! Whoever is the master of this complete call and standing prayer, grant Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) a place of means and excellence, and place him in the position of Mahmud which You have promised him.”

In a Hadith narrated by Abu Huraira, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

“When the muezzin says, ‘Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest,’ and one of you says, ‘Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest,’

then he says, ‘I testify that there is no god but Allah, I testify that there is no god but Allah,’ then he says, ‘I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,’

then he says, ‘Come to prayer, come to prayer,’ then he says, ‘Come to success, come to success.’ Whoever says that, it is a truth from his Lord.

And whoever says it sincerely seeking Allah’s pleasure, the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him, and he will be allowed to enter through whichever one he wishes.” (Sahih Muslim)

In another Hadith narrated by Abu Dawud, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever recites the call to prayer, Allah and His angels send blessings upon him, and whoever makes supplication after it, it will be accepted for him, except for the one who makes supplication while he is yawning.” (Sunan Abi Dawud)

In a Hadith narrated by Abdullah ibn Zaid, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Between the adhan and the iqama, there is a du’a that is not rejected.” (Sunan Ibn Majah)
