Dua is personal connection between an individual and Allah almighty.  According to islamic beliefs it makes Allah happy when a person get backs to him and ask his help.

In Quran Allah says, “Tell my servants who have transgressed (committed a sin), don’t lose hope with Allah’s blessings.  Surely, Allah forgives all sins.

In another place in Quran Allah says “When my servant ask about me, I am closer to him.  I listen to his prayers, I accept his prayers”
