Dua for Fasting | Roza Rakhne Ki Dua Proper Way of Fasting

Dua for fasting (Roza Rakhne Ki Dua) is a dua muslims recite when they begin their fasting. When you recite the dua, your fasting starts for that day.

After reciting the Fasting Dua, you are prohibited to drink or eat anything unless you break the fast at fasting time.

Fasting time is when sun sets and Maghrib slat time begins. For exact time of breaking fast you need to find your local schedule for Saher and Iftar.

وَبِصَوْمِ غَدٍ نَّوَيْتُ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

Fasting Dua Purpose

Muslims recite this dua to make niyyat or promise to us that we intend the beginning of our fasting for the day.

It keeps you alert all day in your mind that you are with fasting, and you should not do what are the things prohibited during fasting.

What’s not Allowed while Fasting (after reciting Dua Fasting)

  • You cannot eat or drink anything after reciting the Dua Fasting.
  • You cannot take any medication.
  • You cannot have sex with your life partner.
  • You cannot tell lies.
  • You should not do any backbiting.
  • You should avoid hurting anybody.
  • You should not fight with anybody.
  • You should not get into any argument.
  • If anybody instigates you, you must tell him that you are fasting.

One should remember, these traits are not limited to only fasting. Ramazan is a month of patience and practice. It is there to give you good habits and make you a better muslim.

One should make the most of it by making those habits part of life and daily routine even after Ramadan. This will make your life easy and beautiful, and you will have Allah’s blessings.

Question and Answer Fasting Dua

We recite this Dua to show our intention to being our fasting for the day. It is Sunnah and Islamic way to begin everything with proper Dua and Niyyat

This dua recitation generally used when you have finished your Sehri Meal and/or Sehri Time is about to finish.

Now, you should not eat or drink anything unless you break your fast at the end of the day.

It may happen, if you have intention of fasting in your heart, you are still fasting. Allah knows what’s in our heart.

But it is better to make it a practice to recite proper Dua.
