Dua for Breaking Fast (Roza Kholne Ki Dua) is a dua Muslims recite when they break their fast. In Iftar Dua Muslims affirm that their fasting and breaking fast is for Allah only.

Every muslim should recite this dua regularly and more importantly should memorize this dua as part of their routine Duas in the month of Ramadan.

Dua for Breaking Fast in Arabic (Iftar Dua)

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّی لَکَ صُمْتُ وَبِکَ اٰمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْکَ تَوَکَّلْتُ وَعَلٰی رِزْقِکَ اَفْطَرْتُ

“O Allah, I fasted for You and believed in You and trusted in You, and broke my fast with the food that you have provided.”

What to do After Breaking Fast

It is very important to note that breaking fast does not mean now you have full freedom to do anything you want.

You are allowed to do only Halal things, you can enjoy halal food, legal relations. and anything that Allah has provided you.

The most important lesson fasting teaches us to help others. We should help others who cannot afford food for their families. We should support people who are waiting for someone to help them.

Telling lies, hurting others, arguing, abusing, fighting all these things you should avoid even after fasting. It will make you not only a better Muslim but a better citizen as well.

All the restrictions during fasting was there to make you a better muslim and one should practice to avoid haram and committing sins evern after month of Ramazan. This way, you can ensure you have all the countless blessings from Allah.

May Allah listen to our Duas and make us a better version of ourselves and help each other to create a better society

Question and Answers

This Dua is recited to finish your fasting. After the Dua you can start eating your Iftar Meal.

It may happen, but Allah knows the intentions. It doesn’t mean that your fasting was wasted or not accepted. Allah only knows that.

However, you should keep it in practice to recite proper Dua. The reason of any Dua is to call upon Allah and take Allah’s name in everything we do.

Duas are reminders and strengthens our belief system and we use also use Duas to protect ourselves from evils.

Reciting this dua at wrong time does not break your fasting. It has to be at Iftar Time. Reciting only Dua does not mean to end the fasting unless actual fasting time has arrived.

You may do it if you are trying to memorize the Dua before iftar time.
