Ayat E Kareema (Dua Yunus) Miracle
Prophet Yunus (Jonah) was one of the messenger of Allah mentioned in Quran. Prophet Yunus was sent to preach to the people of Nineveh.
When his message was rejected, he left the city in anger and by accident fall into water and swallowed by a giant fish or whale.
In the belly of the fish, he made a famous dua (supplication) to Allah, which is mentioned in Surah Al-Anbiya, Chapter 21, Verse 87 of the Quran. The dua is as follows:
“There is no Allah (God) except You; so great and exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.”
This dua is known as “Dua Yunus” and is considered a powerful and humble supplication to seek forgiveness and mercy from Allah.
Remember, prophet Younus was in great anger and despair becuase of rejection. Moreover, he was at the darkest and deepest place one cannot even imagine.
Allah, gave prophet Younus these words to invoke Allah’s mercy and Allah’s blessings. When prophet Yunus used these words, Allah saved him from danger and fear.
Prophets never do anything on their own, Allah teaches them everything. Allah reveals them hidden, secret and powerful words of Allah.
Allah has showed us that if we call upon Allah, Allah can save us when apparently it seems almost impossible.
Ayat E Kareema is the proper way to invoke Allah’s blessings. We acknowledge greatness and grandness of Allah and we also accept that we have committed sins. It’s also acknowledgement that becuase of our sins we suffer.
